AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite featured the annual Blood & Guts Match along with the finals of the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament.

This week’s AEW Dynamite took place at the TD Garden in Boston.

Match #1: “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry defeated Hook to become the FTW Champion – There was a referee bump and Perry hit Hook with the FTW Title. The referee recovered and counted the win for Perry.

It is Jack Perry’s first singles title win in AEW while it was Hook’s first loss.

There was a secret meeting between Chris Jericho and Don Callis. They were shown arriving together.

MJF and Adam Cole had another bonding session at a restaurant.

Match #2: Britt Baker defeated Kayla Sparks – It only went about one minute. Baker won clean with the Lockjaw submission.

MJF and Adam Cole had matching trunks, matching jackets and a theme song remix too.

Match #3: Maxwell Jacob Friedman & Adam Cole defeated Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia in the Finals of the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament – Cole hit Garcia with Panama Sunrise and MJF tagged in for a double clothesline on Garcia for the pinfall win.

After the match, Chris Jericho tried to talk to his guys Garcia & Guevara, but they blew him off and walked right by him.

MJF & Adam Cole were confronted in the ring by AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler). The two teams had a staredown. They will have an AEW Tag Team Title match on Saturday, July 29th on Collision.

In the backstage area, Darby Allin asked Orange Cassidy if he would give AR Fox a match for the International Title since Fox helped Allin earlier in his career. Orange agreed to it for next week on Dynamite.

Match #4: Blood & Guts Match: The Golden Elite – Kenny Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson & Kota Ibushi defeated The Blackpool Combat Club – Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Konosuke Takeshita & Pac.

It was a long match that went 50 minutes. Here’s the order of entrants.

1) Claudio Castagnoli of the BCC.
2) Kenny Omega of The Golden Elite. They started for five minutes and everybody else came in every three minutes.
3) Pac of the BCC.
4) “Hangman” Adam Page of The Golden Elite
5) Jon Moxley of the BCC. He bled the most. Of course.
6) Nick Jackson of The Golden Elite.
7) Wheeler Yuta of the BCC.
8) Matt Jackson of The Golden Elite.
9) Konosuke Takeshita of the BCC.
10) Kota Ibushi of The Golden Elite.

The finish of the match saw Pac quit on his team when he argued with Claudio. Pac grabbed bolt cutters, cut the lock and left. Don Callis told Takeshita to leave, so it was 5-on-3 at that point. Moxley was handcuffed to the ropes by The Golden Elite. The end of the match saw Page using a chain to choke Yuta against the ropes, Yuta looked like he was going to pass out and the announcers told us that Moxley quit for Yuta.

The Golden Elite celebrated to end the show.

Next Week On AEW Dynamite:

Orange Cassidy defends the International Championship against AR Fox. That was the only thing advertised for next week’s Dynamite because there was a heavy focus on the Blood & Guts Match this week.
