It was AEW Dynamite with FTR in action against Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli, plus a huge six-man tag team main event.
This episode took place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The announcers were Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone.
Match #1: FTR – Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler vs. Blackpool Combat Club – Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli ended in a 20-Minute Time Limit Draw. There were time updates throughout the match and it ended right at 20 minutes when FTR tried to hit a Shatter Machine.
After the match, FTR and BCC kept on fighting while security, referees and AEW staff tried to break it up.
There was an FTR interview after the break and they mentioned wanting a match at Revolution. Moxley & Castagnoli interrupted that while the teams were separated by officials. On the February 24th edition of Collision, a rematch between FTR and Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli was made official.
Match #2:Orange Cassidy defeated Mike Bennett by pinfall. Orange won with the Beach Break slam.
After the match, Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Roderick Strong attacked Orange. Jake Hager, who is from Oklahoma, ran out for the save to clear the ring. Hager picked up Orange and raised his hand. Hager faces Strong on Rampage.
Ruby Soho arrived for her date with Angelo Parker. A white truck pulled up, Ruby asked if that was for them and Parker said he got them a Lyft ride. The truck door opened and it was Ric Flair exiting the limo.
Ric Flair was interviewed by Renee Paquette. Flair was frustrated about not being used more in AEW. Flair knocked on The Young Bucks door and he went into the room to talk to them.
Daniel Garcia was in the ring for an interview. It was announced that Garcia would get to challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Title at Revolution while also mentioning that Adam Copeland was out of action due to being attacked by Christian Cage and his group. Garcia thanked the fans for supporting him. Cage and his Patriarchy group interrupted. Cage mentioned that Garcia’s dad was dead while saying he was an alcoholic so he mocked Garcia for it. Nick Wayne attacked Garcia, but Garcia beat him up easily. When Killswitch tried to attack, Matt Menard hit Killswitch with chair shots, and that led to Christian’s group retreating.
Match #3: Toni Storm (w/Luther & Mariah May) defeated Sydni Winnell by submission. Easy win in two minutes using the Venus De Milo submission that Deonna Purrazzo uses.
Match #4: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Madison Rayne by submission. Purrazzo applied an Ankle Lock (Break A Leg that Storm uses) leading to Rayne tapping out.
After that match, Toni Storm attacked, Purrazzo fought her off, May provided a distraction, and that led to Storm trapping Purrazzo in an Ankle Lock. After about 30 seconds, the referee managed to pull Storm off.
Darby Allin and Sting were featured in a video somewhere. Allin showed a photo of Sting with his two sons when Sting was in WCW. Allin said that the kids were around the same age as The Young Bucks kids are now. Sting said that family is all that matters. Sting said that nobody had ever messed with his flesh & blood until the Bucks. Sting said that seven days ago, his father passed away. Sting said that his father was his hero and he taught him right.
As he continued, Sting admitted that he used to think he was invincible, but time catches up with everybody. Sting said that he knows he is not invincible. Sting said that he’s bringing everything that he has left to Revolution and he’s bringing it to the Young Bucks. Sting said that they had a fight on their hands – the fight of their life. That’s when it ended. Condolences to Sting on the death of his father last week.
Wardlow did an in-ring interview about how two years ago he was so popular with arenas full of people chanting his name, but he’s been screwed over without getting opportunities. Wardlow mentioned CM Punk and MJF without saying their names, but he did so as a way to reference that he beat them. Wardlow said that the “Best in the World” (CM Punk) is somebody who Wardlow beat and his body is still falling apart because of Wardlow. That also led to Wardlow saying he beat AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, so he is the most dangerous man in the room and the uncrowned king in AEW.
It was announced that Will Ospreay will be on AEW Dynamite next week. Excalibur also said Wardlow will be competing in something called Meat Madness at AEW Revolution.
Match #5:Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland & Brian Cage (w/Prince Nana) defeated Hook, Rob Van Damn & “Hangman” Adam Page by submission. Joe won with the Coquina Clutch submission on RVD. It went about 21 minutes. That was the end of the show.
