The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the October 5th edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 1,038,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.33 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is an increase on the previous week where the show drew 990,000 viewers with a 0.34 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The October 5th episode of Dynamite was marred with controversy following reports of a backstage altercation involving Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara. Andrade was sent home as a result, while Guevara continued to main event Dynamite as planned, as he and Chris Jericho defeated Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia in the main event.
MJF defeated Wheeler YUTA in the first match since May for ‘The Salt of the Earth’, while Darby Allin defeated Jay Lethal. Lethal appeared to indicate a babyface turn post-match, shaking hands with the one-time AEW TNT Champion. Speaking of the TNT Championship, Wardlow retained the title against Brian Cage in Cage’s first Dynamite outing since September 2021.
Saraya also got physical for the first time in almost five years, throwing a punch at Dr Britt Baker, D.M.D, while laying out Rebel with a Buzzsaw Kick. It’s unknown if the former Paige has been officially cleared for in-ring competition.
