The total viewership and demographic ratings for the latest episode of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the October 12th edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 983,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.32 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is a decrease on the previous week, which saw a total viewership average of 1,038,000 viewers with a 0.33 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
Hailing from Toronto, ON, the first episode of AEW Dynamite to be held in Canada featured the debut of Toronto native Renee Paquette, whose signing with the company was announced earlier in the day.
Bryan Danielson attempted to capture the ROH World Championship from Chris Jericho, but he was thwarted when Daniel Garcia solidified his alliance with the Jericho Appreciation Society and hit Danielson over the head with the ROH belt.
The main event of AEW Dynamite saw Orange Cassidy face off against PAC for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship. Though he’s been unsuccessful in their previous bouts, Orange Cassidy’s hand was raised in victory on this occasion as he unseated PAC and won his first championship since becoming All Elite. After the match, injured star Kris Statlander appeared for an off-air celebration, bringing back the iconic backpack that Cassidy used to carry around championships on the independent scene.
