As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the November 2nd edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 911,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.29 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is a decrease on the previous week, which saw a total viewership average of 997,000 viewers with a 0.32 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The episode featured four championship contests, the most notable of which was Orange Cassidy defending the AEW All Atlantic Championship against Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix. With his victory, ‘Freezly Squeezed’ Cassidy earned an All Atlantic City Dream Match, which he is using to face Katsuyori Shibata on AEW Rampage.
Colt Cabana also returned to AEW programming, revealed as the mystery challenger to Chris Jericho’s ROH World Championship. In other championship action, Jade Cargill retained the AEW TBS Championship vs. Marina Shafir, whereas Samoa Joe saw off Brian Cage to retain the ROH World Television Championship.
On a segment-filled episode that featured teasers for The Elite and The House of Black returning to AEW, and The Acclaimed celebrating Billy Gunn’s birthday, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett also made his AEW debut. ‘The King of the Mountain’ aligned himself with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, and Cole Karter, blasting a guitar over Darby Allin’s head.
