The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the May 4th episode of AEW Dynamite drew an average of 833,000 viewers. That included 421,000 viewers in the 18-49-year-old demographic. That equates to a 0.32 rating.
The figures represent a decrease on the previous week which averaged 921,000 viewers with 0.33 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The May 4th edition of AEW Dynamite began with the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament qualifying match between Bobby Fish and Jeff Hardy. Although, Fish tried to ground Hardy, the face-painted risk taker eventually scored the win with a Swanton Bomb.
Also on the show there were wins for Rey Fenix, The Blackpool Combat Club and Chris Jericho. While Wardlow saw off IMPACT Wrestling’s W. Morrissey who was making his AEW debut.
Hangman Adam Page also returned to AEW television where he addressed CM Punk and his upcoming AEW World Championship defence. In a fired up promo, Page said he would destroy Punk and promised their match won’t be a “masturbatory Bret Hart tribute.”
In the main event, Mercedes Martinez defeated Deonna Purrazzo (Also making her AEW debut) to become Undisputed Ring of Honor Women’s Champion.
