The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.

As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics the May 25th edition of Dynamite drew an average of 929,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.35 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.

That is a very slight increase in total viewership from the previous week where the show pulled in 922,000 viewers. However there was an increase in the demographic rating, which was 0.33 on May 18th.

The May 25th episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with the Cage Match between Wardlow and Shawn Spears, with MJF serving as the special guest referee.

For much of the match, MJF and Spears worked in tandem to dish out the punishment to Wardlow, who remained in handcuffs.

However, Mr Mayhem sensationally broke out of the handcuffs and fought back. In search of a further advantage, Spears headed to the outside and grabbed a chair. With MJF holding Wardlow, Spears swung for the fences but only managed to flatten the ‘Salt of the Earth’ with a brutal shot to the head.

As a stunned Shawn Spears came to terms with what he did, Wardlow rose from the mat behind him intent on revenge. With MJF planted firmly on the canvas, Wardlow delivered the Powerbomb Symphony to Spears, with the last Powerbomb coming on a steel chair. As referee Bryce Remsburg ran into the ring, Wardlow pinned his rival with one foot.

After the match he demolished a number of security guards before scaling the cage to taunt MJF.

Elsewhere, Samoa Joe and Britt Baker advanced to the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, and Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley defeated Private Party. There was also a heated face-to-face between Adam Page and CM Punk before their World Title match at Double or Nothing.

Meanwhile, Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan struck first blood for New Japan Pro Wrestling attacking FTR and Roppongi Vice as they battled over the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles.
