The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the March 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite drew 1,046,000 viewers. The show scored a 0.41 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That represents an increase on the previous week. On that occasion, the show pulled in 993,000 viewers with a 0.38 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
The March 23rd edition of AEW Dynamite kicked off with CM Punk and Dax Harwood writing a love letter to Bret Hart in the form of a wrestling match. The high quality affair was eventually won by Punk, who signalled that he was looking for championship gold as he celebrated.
This straightforward contest was followed by the absolute carnage and unadulterated chaos of an eight-man tornado tag team match between The Hardy Boys, Sting & Darby Allin and Private Party and The Butcher and The Blade. Highlights included Matt Hardy taking a double Side Effect from Private Party off the stage, while Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb from a ledge high up on the concourse through Butcher and The Blade and a couple of tables.
There was another win for Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, while MJF cut a scathing promo on Wardlow. Leyla Hirsch defeated red Velvet, Adam Cole saw off Jay Lethal and the Jericho Appreciation Society triumphed in the main event.
