The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the July 20th edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 910,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.32 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is a decrease on the previous week where the show drew 942,000 viewers with a 0.42 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The July 20th episode of Dynamite saw a huge Barbed Wire Deathmatch between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston, concluding in a victory for ‘Le Champion’. Though not as brutal as previous AEW encounters, both Jericho and Kingston still deserve immense praise for the efforts they went to, as do all those involved from ringside, including the heel-turning Anna Jay.
Brody King, just a couple of weeks on from his unsuccessful, yet outstanding challenge against interim AEW World Champion Darby Allin, found similar success against Darby Allin. The House of Black member won this time around, doing so in what has been a critically-acclaimed match thus far.
Former NXT star Troy Donovan – now known as Cole Karter – also made his televised AEW debut, challenging Ricky Starks for the FTW Championship in an ill-fated attempt. Finally, Jungle Boy returned to AEW programming for the first time since being turned on by Christian Cage, with Luchasaurus siding with him over Cage.
