The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the August 31st edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 1,020,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.35 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is an increase on the previous week where the show drew 1,049,000 viewers with a 0.34 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The August 31st episode of Dynamite saw Jon Moxley and CM Punk’s AEW World Championship rematch made official for All Out. An open contract laid out by Moxley saw Ace Steel, Punk’s former Second City Saints partner, encourage ‘The Best in the World’ to accept the title match.
Wheeler YUTA won a four-way contest between Casino Ladder match participants, while Bryan Danielson defeated Jake Hager before he goes one-on-one with ‘Lionheart’ Chris Jericho. Former IMPACT Wrestling star W. Morrissey also returned to AEW as Stokely Hathaway’s newest client.
The AEW World Trios Championships tournament rolled on in the main event, as The Elite’s Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks advanced to the finals past United Empire’s Will Ospreay and Aussie Open. They’ll meet either Best Friends or The Dark Order – now with Adam Page replacing Pres10 Vance – at All Out.
