The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the August 24th edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 1,049,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.34 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is an increase on the previous week where the show drew 957,000 viewers with a 0.30 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The August 24th episode of Dynamite saw the much-anticipated AEW World Championship unification clash between CM Punk and Jon Moxley that lasted mere minutes. Moxley walked away as the official two-time champion after Punk appeared to suffer an ankle injury.
AEW’s World Trios Championships tournament also continued, with United Empire’s Will Ospreay and Aussie Open advancing to the semifinals following their defeat of Death Triangle. They’ll meet The Elite in the next round, which will contain a hot encounter between Ospreay and Kenny Omega.
A plethora of contests for All Out were confirmed, including the crowning of an interim AEW Women’s World Champion following Thunder Rosa picking up an undisclosed injury. Additionally, IMPACT Wrestling’s Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, The Motor City Machine Guns, make their AEW debut as they join Jay Lethal’s team against Wardlow and FTR.
