The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the August 3rd edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 972,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.33 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
That is an increase on the previous week where the show drew 938,000 viewers with a 0.32 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The August 10th episode of Dynamite saw CM Punk, the official AEW World Champion, return to the company to save Jon Moxley from the Jericho Appreciation Society. A staredown between the two ended the night’s proceedings ahead of their expected showdown.
Darby Allin defeated Brody King in AEW’s second Coffin Match, while La Faccion Ingobernable’s Andrade El Idolo and RUSH were victorious over the Lucha Bros. This was all before the World Trios Championships tournament begins next week, with King, LFI, and the Lucha Brothers due to enter.
Jade Cargill’s undefeated streak continued, as she retained the AEW TBS Championship over Madison Rayne in the latter’s Dynamite debut. Athena, disguised as a ‘Baddie’, confronted Cargill afterwards, further staking a claim for the championship.
