AEW Dynamite Ratings – April 6th
The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the April 6th episode of AEW Dynamite pulled in 989,000 viewers. 496,000 of these were in the 18-49 year-old demographic, that works out at a rating of 0.38.
That’s an increase on the previous week where Dynamite drew 979,000 viewers, with a 0.38 rating in the key demographic.
The April 6th edition of AEW Dynamite opened with the singles clash between Adam Cole and Christian Cage. The match marked the first time that the pair had met one-on-one.
After a highly competitive contest it was Cole who scored the win, eventually gaining the upper hand after poking Cage in the eye. After the match, reDRagon came to the ring to get a piece of the action, but were headed off Jurassic Express. As the tag teams left the scene, Hangman Adam Page came to confront Cole.
The AEW World Champion said that if Cole wanted a rematch so badly he would give him one, but on his terms. It was then confirmed that the pair will meet in a Texas Death Match on the April 15th episode of Rampage.
The show also saw the AEW debut of Samoa Joe who saw off the challenge of Max Caster to advance in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
There were also victories for The Hardys, and Hikaru Shida. In the main event, FTR and The Young Bucks locked horns once again, in one of the more talked about TV matches in recent memory. Come the finale it was FTR who picked up a hard-fought win, retaining their ROH and AAA Tag Team Championships.
