AEW Dynamite Live Results – July 23, 2025: Shocking new Cope alliance; heel AEW stars turn babyfaces; Star forced out of in-ring action & more

Welcome to ITR Wrestling’s live coverage of AEW Dynamite. This week’s edition is stacked with an intense match card. The AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and the AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm will be in action, Swerve Strickland will go head to head with Hechicero, and much more is stacked on the card for the event.

Jon Moxley's plan backfires on AEW Dynamite

An infuriated Jon Moxley enters the ring and calls out Hangman Adam Page for refusing to give him a rematch for the AEW World Championship.

Hangman Adam Page appears and agrees that he must get his rematch but since it’s his challenge Moxley will have to play by his rules. Page cites that the match will take place on AEW Dynamite next week and highlights that everyone but the referee will be banned from ringside.

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mark Briscoe

Claudio Castagnoli overpowers Mark Briscoe as soon as the bell rings. He shoves him into the corner and launches a series of chops.

Castagnoli with stomps on Briscoe into the corner. He flings his opponent in the opposite turnbuckle, Briscoe manages to reverse the move by going over the top rope and headbutts to Castagnoli’s midsection. Briscoe with a clothesline to Castagnoli over the top rope. The Death Riders member grabs Mark Briscoe by the legs and slams him headfirst into the barricade.

Claudio Castagnoli with a headlock on Mark Briscoe in the middle of the ring. He sets up Briscoe on the top rope. Mark Briscoe fights back, forcing Castagnoli to lose balance. Briscoe sets up a clothesline from the top rope but is met with a vicious uppercut midair.

Darby Allin appears in the crowd to distract Claudio Castagnoli. The Death Riders member takes note but continues to dominate Mark Briscoe in the ring. Briscoe climbs up the top rope for a splash and a pin but Castagnoli kicks out.

Briscoe sets up the hurricanra off the tope rope but Castagnoli hits him with a low blow on the ropes. Castagnoli goes for his signature slam but Mark Briscoe rolls him up in a pin for the win.

Result: Mark Briscoe def. Claudio Castagnoli

MJF is done with The Hurt Syndicate

MJF says he doesn’t need Bobby Lashley’s help to win the AEW World Championship. He proceeds to call Hangman Adam Page a hypocrite for calling him out on not using his contract. MJF adds that he is ready to face him at any time.

The AEW star is interrupted by Mark Briscoe. He claims that MJF stole the opportunity from him at AEW All In and demands a rematch tonight. MJF denies him right then and there. He claims that when the pressure’s on Mark Briscoe loses, unlike him, who wins. And calls himself a generational talent. MJF makes it personal by saying the late Jay Briscoe was a better wrestler than Mark.

Briscoe runs to the ring and MJF manages to escape.

Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland vs. Hechicero

The two men grapple to start off the match. Strickland tries to dodge Hechicero, bouncing off the ropes but is caught mid-air. He manhandles Strickland with multiple slams and sets him in a submission hold. Swerve Strickland reverses the move into a headlock and a submission move of his own. The masked star escapes, slaps Strickland, and openly taunts him.

Hechicero sends Swerve Strickland into the corner and launches a series of punches and hammers down on Strickland’s injured knee. The former AEW Champion fights back with punches but is slammed onto the mat. Hechicero goes for a pin, but his opponent kicks out.

Strickland manages to hit Hechicero with a 450 splash and attempts a pin out of desperation but he kicks out.

The two stars struggle out of consecutive roll-up pins. Strickland hits him with a DDT and climbs up the top rope but Lance Archer throws him, ending the match in a DQ.

Result: Match ends in a DQ

Archer and Hechicero attack Strickland despite the match’s conclusion. Kazuchika Okada joins the attack. His group bring in a steel chair to use against Strickland who is up on his feet. He puts the steel chair around Okada’s neck and gears up for an attack but the Unified champion manages to escape.

Toni Storm

Toni Storm vs. Billie Starkz

Athena is present in the crowd to watch her minion, Billie Starkz take on Toni Storm on AEW Dynamite.

Starkz and Storm exchange blows before the latter goes for a quick roll-up. She follows it with a sunset flip which her opponent manages to turn into hard-hitting chops. Starkz follows it up with a swanton off the apron on the AEW Women’s Champion. Starkz taunts Toni Storm while looking in Athena’s direction as if needing her approval.

Toni Storm regains momentum in the match and strikes Starkz with brutal right hands and Mongolian chops as an anxious Athena looks on. Storm with a hammerlock on Starkz.

Billie Starkz escapes and goes for a boot to the face which Toni Storm counters. Starkz sends Storm over her shoulders and another failed roll up. Starkz off the top rope but Storm has her knees up. The AEW Women’s Champion with a crossface chicken wing on Billie Starkz, forcing her opponent to tap out for the win.

Result: Toni Storm def. Billie Starkz

Starkz attacks Storm with the AEW Women’s Title Belt. The referee tries to bring order to the chaos but Starkz sends the official flying out of the ring. Athena enters the ring and attacks Storm with the contract. She slams Toni Storm onto the steel steps and continues the attack inside the ring.

Alex Windsor runs out to the ring for a save. Athena and Billie Starkz retreat.

Bobby Lashley

MJF kicked out of The Hurt Syndicate?

MJF questions MVP’s business deal with Cope and how no one was around to help him with Hangman Adam Page and win the World title.

MVP yells back at MJF, telling him that it was a business deal that needed to be done. Bobby Lashley snaps and shoves MJF into the locker, citing that he wants the AEW star out of the faction. MJF tries to pacify MVP who is not at all pleased with his actions of late.

Will Ospreay shares health update

Will Ospreay announces that he’s been struggling with neck issues over the past few months. And has kept it to himself and refrained from telling the medical staff and other personnel involved.

He claims a spinal injury after the Death Riders’ attack. He will be out of in-ring action until Forbidden Door. He thanks fans, and it’s an honor to fight by Hangman Adam Page’s side, but he will be back for his rematch. He sends the Death Riders a message – the moment he’s recovered from injury, he’ll be out for revenge.

AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament: FTR vs. JetSpeed

FTR make their entrance with Stokely Hathaway, out with crutches, the aftermath of Cope’s attack on Collision.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler double team against Mike Bailey. Speedball with consecutive kicks to Dax Harwood, who counters, a reversal by Dax Harwood and a German suplex on Mike ‘Speedball’ Bailey, who seemingly injures his knee.

JetSpeed over the top rope onto FTR outside the ring. Harwood and Bailey the official members tagged in the match, roll back into the ring. The FTR members swings brutal chops to Bailey.

Cash Wheeler is tagged in, takes cheap shots at Kevin Knight before a slam on the mat, and an unsuccessful pin. Dax Harwood and Kevin Knight are on the top rope, meanwhile Cash Wheeler is on the other side. Mike ‘Speedball’ Bailey kicks Wheeler, dropping him off the top rope. It is chaos in the ring. Bailey with a springboard moonsault on Wheeler outside the ring.

Dax Harwood with a sharpshooter on Knight in the middle of the ring, while Cash Wheeler with the same move on Bailey outside the ring. After Bailey recovers, he attempts a pin on Dax Harwood after a shooting star press.

Harwood with a powerbomb to Knight who rolls it up into a pin. Bailey attempts a hurricanrana that’s stopped midway. Harwood rolls up Knight for a pin with some help from Stokely Hathaway, extending his crutch for support.

Result: FTR def. JetSpeed

Stokely Hathaway calls out Cope for his actions the past weekend claiming he belongs in prison and calls him a cancer in AEW.

Cope makes his way to the ring and cites that he made a business deal with some gentlemen who were willing to do what he couldn’t (steer clear of FTR and Stoke), and they love to hurt people. He further announced that he made a deal with The Hurt Syndicate. Cope and MVP shake hands before all men brawl. Cope walks away after making his statement clear on AEW Dynamite.

Adam Page

Hangman Adam Page vs. Wheeler Yuta

Hangman Adam Page barely enters the ring when Wheeler Yuta pounces on him, The bell rings for the match to officially be underway. Page strikes back with vicious punches to Yuta. He rolls the Death Riders member out of the ring sending him into the barricade as fans start chanting ‘f*ck you Yuta’ at the top of their lungs.

Page with a slam to Yuta into the turnbuckles and follows it up with chops. He sends Yuta flying to the opposite end but a run is stopped by an uppercut. Yuta scratches the Champion’s eye but receives a clothesline followed by a pin and a two-count.

Adam Page goes for the buckshot lariat and pins Wheeler Yuta for the win.

Result: Hangman Adam Page def. Wheeler Yuta

The AEW World Champion grabs a steel chain and attacks a bloody Yuta just like the Death Riders did to Colt Cobana this past weekend. He taunted Yuta that no one was going to save him.

Hangman Page answers major question on AEW Dynamite

Renee Paquette interviews Hangman Adam Page, questioning him about taking up Wheeler Yuta’s challenge for tonight. He responds it’s for revenge for the Death Riders’ attack on Colt Cobana.

He’s interrupted by MJF who vows to get the World Championship back from Page. The Champion calls him a gutless coward and walks away.
