AEW Dynamite sees a drop in viewers for the October 4th episode, losing out to NXT by over 50,000 viewers.
As reported by Wrestlenomics, an average of 800,000 people watched the show and an 18-49 rating of 0.28 was obtained. Compared to the September 27th episode that drew an average audience of 855,000, the drop calculates to approximately 6.4%.
With the most recent episode of NXT drawing an impressive of 857,000 in the ratings, Dynamite has drawn a lower audience than the WWE brand for the week beginning October 2nd. This is the first time that NXT has outdrawn All Elite Wrestling in a number of months. It should be noted that Dynamite’s key demo rating of 0.28 outdrew the NXT key demo rating of 0.22.

All eyes were on the main event segment of the flagship show as Adam Copeland was set to speak for the first time since joining the company. The Rated R Superstar requested that he reunite the legendary tag team with his best friend, but Christian Cage responded by telling Adam Copeland “Go f*ck yourself.”
Also on the show, Don Callis revealed the latest member of the roster to join the family. With Sammy Guevara not cleared to compete following an injury suffered at WrestleDream, Callis recruited a new associate who left Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho motionless when all was said and done.
With surprises continuing throughout the night, Wardlow made a shock return to television following an absence since the debut episode of Collision. Taking the fight to Griff Garrison from the opening bell, the match was stopped by the referee when Wardlow hit 5 Powerbombs in a row.
