AEW Confirms Date & Location For Winter Is Coming Special

AEW Winter Is Coming

AEW has announced details for the 2024 edition of their Winter is Coming specials.

Winter is Coming has been an annual staple for AEW ever since the first Dynamite special was held in December 2020. The first edition saw Kenny Omega align himself with Don Callis to get the better of Jon Moxley, defeating him for the World Championship and kicking off a 346-day reign with the gold.

That show also Sting make his debut for the promotion. The Icon made his first appearance on TNT in nearly two decades to assist Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin when they were attacked by Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks.

2021 saw another big World Title defence as Hangman Adam Page faced off against Bryan Danielson. Page retained the title after the epic bout went to a 60-minute time limit draw. Meanwhile, in 2022, MJF saw off Ricky Starks to retain both the World Championship and Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Things were a bit different in 2023, as the inaugural Continental Classic was in full swing, with eventual winner Eddie Kingston defeating Daniel Garcia in Blue League action, while the Gold League saw Moxley score a win over Swerve Strickland.

Recently a huge title match was announced for AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming.
