AEW have announced that the Trios Championships will officially debut at All Out.

On the July 27th edition of AEW Dynamite Excalibur announced that the first-ever Trios Champions will be crowned at All Out on September 4th.

During the announcement, the new titles took pride of place on the announce desk in front of Taz, Jim Ross and the man with the mask.

A tournament will begin soon, with the finals being held at All Out.

The titles have long been rumoured to be on the way, but President Tony Khan had suggested that he was waiting for Kenny Omega to return from injury before they were launched.

Interestingly, it was recently reported that Omega could be back in action at the event in Chicago.

The report expanded on a line from Dave Meltzer who suggested that AEW were holding off on booking Young Bucks vs. FTR III because there was a “major angle” involving The Bucks in the works. Fightful reported that the rumour is that the angle involves Omega.

Tentative plans that “certain staff” have been made aware of will see Omega team with The Bucks in a six-man tag team match at All Out in September. Although the note comes with the caution that plans can change. Omega did return to the road earlier this year, but removed himself as he felt it was slowing his recovery.
