All Elite Wrestling have officially announced that the Christmas edition of their weekly AEW Dynamite show has been rescheduled and moved to a different time slot.
The episode which was meant to go out on December 23, two days before Christmas Day, has been moved to a different time slot in order that TNT can air the NBA festive schedule in its place after the basketball league announced their brand new 2020-2021 fixture list.
When the schedule was released, it was clear that the channel was going to have a conflict between AEW and NBA when it was announced that the Milwaukee Bucks would battle The Boston Celtics on the same night that TNT were due to show AEW’s Christmas Dynamite.
The good news for AEW fans is that it’s probable the show will still be shown on the same evening but in a later time slot. However, should that not be possible then word is that Tony Khan’s promotion will be shifted to Thursday evenings for one week only.
AEW Dynamite has gained a lot a momentum in recent weeks with the debut of ‘The Icon’ Sting and the AEW World Heavyweight Championship victory of Kenny Omega, which was followed by his instant defection to IMPACT Wrestling.
AEW and IMPACT Wrestling have a good working relationship which Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter expects to allow stars from the latter to compete on Dynamite before an all-out promotional war implodes.
