AEW’s social media team has come under fire from fans after a recent Instagram post caused concern among the wrestling community.
The post was meant to highlight Jungle Boy Jack Perry’s recent win on Rampage and a new focus on winning championship gold. However, the post used a black-and-white photo of Perry looking off into the distance, giving some fans the impression that he had passed away.
The photo has since been deleted and replaced with a series of colour photos from Rampage.

AEW Star Jungle Boy Is Alive And Well
Jungle Boy Jack Perry signed with AEW in January 2019 and quickly teamed with Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt to form the Jurassic Express. The trio was incredibly popular with fans, and although Stunt later left the company, Perry and Luchasaurus began to move up the tag team ranks.
The duo was then joined by Christian Cage, before winning the AEW World Tag Team Titles. However, during this period there were hints that everything wasn’t quite right in the camp with Cage appearing to be on the edge of turning on Perry on multiple occasions. The betrayal finally came after Luchasaurus and Perry lost the titles to the Young Bucks as Cage attacked Jungle Boy after the match.
This sparked a rivalry between Perry and Cage, as Luchasaurus also turned his back on his friend. Although Cage got injured just as the feud was getting going, Perry defeated Luchasaurus in a Cage Match at Full Gear in late 2022.
In recent weeks the star has formed an unlikely alliance with HOOK while also hinting that he is now ready to compete for championship gold as a singles star.
On the February 10th episode of Rampage, Perry defeated Ryan Nemeth before being confronted by Brian Cage who has enjoyed something of a career renaissance in recent weeks.
