AEW Ratings Rise Following All Out

AEW All Out might be one of the companies most divisive shows yet due to the graphic content included in Swerve Scott vs Adam Page and the brutal attack on Bryan Danielson from Jon Moxley and the BCC.

But… the show must have done something right as Dynamite ratings have seen a bump following the show,

According to reports from Dave Meltzer the September 11th edition of AEW Dynamite attracted 716,000 viewers, marking a significant improvement from the previous week’s figure of 660,000.

Motor City Machine Guns Expected To Start In NXT "Imminently"

Writing in this morning’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has provided an update on the WWE status of legendary tag team the ‘Motor City Machine Guns’.

Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin have been rumoured to have signed with the WWE for months following the expiration of their TNA contracts despite interest from AEW.

Now in a new update, Dave Meltzer has revealed that the duo are expected to start in NXT “imminently”.

AEW Collision Spoilers – September 14th, 2024.

On Thursday, September 12th, AEW taped this weekend’s episode of AEW Collision from inside the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.

Here is a full breakdown of everything that went down on the show!

  • Jack Perry defeated Christopher Daniels.
  • Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly and Hologram defeated The Beast Mortos, Tony Nese and Ari Daivari in trios action.
  • Wheeler Yuta defeated Anthony Henry.
  • The Bang Bang Gang defeated Brian Cage, Kaun and Toa Liona.
  • Queen Aminata defeated Robyn Renegade.
  • The returning Yuka Sakazaki defeated Serena Deeb in singles action.
  • FTR defeated GYV, Gibson and Drake jumped FTR after the match only for The Outrunners to make the save.

  • Kevin Owens and a mystery partner vs A-Town Down Under in a Tag Team match.
  • Andrade takes on Carmelo Hayes in singles action.

Huge Match to Open SmackDown!

Tonight, SmackDown celebrates its monumental return to the USA Network and Triple H has big things in store for the WWE Universe.

Taking to Twitter, the WWE COO would hype up tonight’s show announcing that it will be opening with a match that could change the face of the WWE as Cody Rhodes defends his Unified WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa inside a Steel Cage.

Triple H would post a video promoting SmackDown’s new home and teasing more surprises for the show!

“Tomorrow night, LIVE from Seattle, Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage for the Undisputed WWE Championship will kick off SmackDown’s monumental return to USANetwork at 8/7c…

As for the rest of the show… you’ll just have to wait and see.”

On This Day In 2011...Ric Flair's Final (Almost) Match

On this day back in 2011 the world saw the end of Ric Flair’s wrestling career as he took on ‘The Icon’ Sting on an episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

Sting would defeat Flair for the right to challenge Hulk Hogan at Victory Road.

The match was The Nature Boy’s final match…that is until 2022 when he had his final match (for real this time…maybe) teaming with son-in-law Andrade to take on Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.

Mick Foley returns to GCW!

WWE Hall of Famer, The Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley has been announced for GCW’s ‘Dream On’ show on November 23rd!

Foley will be joined by fellow WWE legend Kurt Angle on the show alongside top independent stars including Zilla Fatu, Grinco Loco, Matt Cardona, Joey Janela and more.

Will Ospreay vs PAC at AEW All Out was awarded 5.5 stars in this morning’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

This represents Ospreay’s 42nd match rated five stars or more by Dave Meltzer.

To put that into context that is more than  Okada, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, HBK, Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Edge, Triple H and The Rock…combined!

It’s also more than the whole of WWE, WCW, ROH, Jim Crockett Promotions, TNA and ECW combined.
