Adam Cole made his presence felt in a big way on NXT as the former NXT Champion returned to shock the system once again in his own inimitable way.
Cole had not been seen for several weeks on NXT following his loss in an Unsanctioned Match against former Undisputed Era stablemate Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver. Adam Cole had turned his back on O’Reilly and the Undisputed Era at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day signalling a new era for both his career and NXT.
O’Reilly faced off against Pete Dunne and Johnny Gargano in NXT’s main event with the winner of the triple threat match claiming a title match with NXT Champion Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. No winner came from that match after Adam Cole turned up with a chair in hand to take out all three combatants. Cole stood tall before a seething NXT General Manager William Regal came out with security to put an end to Cole’s shenanigans.
On social media, WWE has announced that what was sure to be a packed In Your House event is now even bigger as NXT Champion Karrion Kross will now have to defend his title in a Fatal Five-Way match. Gargano, Dunne, O’Reilly, and Cole will all challenge for the gold in what is sure to be a chaotic bout.
Ding Dong! Cool if we invite some more guests over?

Cole and Gargano go into the bout as both former holders of the NXT Championship. Johnny Gargano won the vacant NXT Title in an incredible two out of three falls match against Cole at NXT TakeOver: New York in April 2019. Cole then defeated Johnny Wrestling for the title two months later at NXT TakeOver: XXV. ‘The Panama City Playboy’ then held the title for over one year, the only man in history to do so before losing it to Keith Lee.
Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly may have never held the NXT Championship but they are no strangers to gold themselves. Dunne held the NXT UK Championship for well over 600-days in what was then a record-setting run. O’Reilly is a three-time NXT Tag Team Champion, having held the title with every other member of the Undisputed Era at some point.
