Adam Cole has taken to Twitter to react to the brutal Unsanctioned Lights Out Match between his girlfriend Britt Baker, and Thunder Rosa on AEW Dynamite St Patrick’s Day Slam.
During the chaotic bout Britt Baker was Powerbomed onto thumbtacks that she had brought into the match as well as being on the receiving end of a Fire and Thunder Driver from the ring apron to the floor, through a table, which finally put her down for a three-count.
Posting on Twitter after the match, Cole simply commented “Also, my girlfriend’s a badass.”
These past 24 hours…
Kyle is digging a hole that he can’t get out of. I’ve been better than you since 2009, and you hate it. Next time, fight me like a man.
Also, my girlfriend is a badass.

In the rest of the post, Cole took aim at Kyle O’Reilly who is currently embroiled in a feud with on NXT. On the latest episode of the black and gold brand, Cole called out O’Reilly, saying that he had cost him the NXT Championship the previous week by interfering in his match with Finn Balor.
Meanwhile, the match between Baker and Thunder Rosa has become the joint highest rated United States based women’s match in history, in the Wrestling Observer.
Dave Meltzer gave the contest a 4.75* rating which puts it level with the 2018 WWE Evolution clash between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
The match was met by near universal acclaim from fans and former wrestlers alike, with the hardcore legend Mick Foley giving the match his seal of approval.
Ahead of the bout, Baker spoke with Sports Illustrated calling herself “biggest star of the women’s division.” Before going on to add “You could put me in the main event with one of Kenny Omega’s broom girls, and people are still going to watch it. I want to put all eyes on me when I come on TV.”
