At AEW Dynamite Beach Break the rivalry between Adam Cole and Orange Cassidy will hit a whole new level as they meet in a Lights Out Match.
While the rivalry between Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole has been simmering for a number of weeks, the tension has now undoubtedly come to the boil.
On the January 19th episode of Dynamite the pair met in a mixed tag team match where Cole teamed with his girlfriend Britt Baker and Cassidy teamed with Kris Statlander.
While the fun-loving team of Statlander and Cassidy took control early on, Cole and Baker fought back with the AEW Women’s Champion hitting a Curb Stomp on Cassidy. The action quickly spilled out of the ring as Baker hit a Canadian Destroyer on her rival Statlader on the ramp. Back in the ring, Cole delivered Panama Sunrise to Cassidy but he somehow kicked out.
As the match barreled towards it’s conclusion, Baker set up the timekeepers table next to the ring. However, the plan backfired as Cassidy missed an Orange Punch on Cole, only to hit Baker and send her crashing through the table. An irate Adam Cole then delivered a vicious low-blow to Orange and hit the Boom for the win.
Later in the night, Cole who was still raging about Baker going through the table said that he wanted to end Orange Cassidy’s career, challenging him to a Lights Out match next week. The bout was made official later in the show.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, Jon Moxley made his triumphant return to AEW, delivering a heart-felt promo to open the show. The former AEW World Champion proceeded to put the whole wrestling world on notice saying that he doesn’t run from his demons, he kicks their ass.
It has also been announced that at Beach Break, Cody Rhodes will meet Sammy Guevara in a unification ladder match for the TNT Championship. However, the real story was the promo that Rhodes cut to set up the bout where he took aim at WWE, Brody King and a whole host of others.
