Adam Cole Injured, Replaced By Hikuleo On AEW Dynamite

Adam Cole celebrates

Tony Khan has announced that Adam Cole is out currently out injured and will be replaced by Hikuleo on Dynamite.

Following AEW Double or Nothing it was announced that both Adam Cole and Jeff Hardy would not be appearing on the June 1st edition of Dynamite despite being previously advertised.

The episode which will see Dynamite go to Los Angeles for the first time, was supposed to play host to a huge ten-man tag team match featuring Jurassic Express teaming with Christian Cage and The Hardys to face the Undisputed Elite team of Adam Cole, reDRagon, and The Young Bucks.

Taking to social media, AEW President Tony Khan has now announced that Hardy and Cole will be replaced by Darby Allin and New Japan Star Hikuleo respectively.

In the post, Khan also confirmed that Adam Cole is missing through an undisclosed injury. It is unclear how long the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winner will be on the side-lines.

At Double or Nothing Cole defeated Samoa Joe, via a helping hand from Bobby Fish to win the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The women’s tournament was won by his real-life partner Britt Baker.

The news comes after it was reported that Jeff Hardy is currently “beat up” and was a “mess,” before The Hardys took on the Young Bucks at Double or Nothing. Despite performing all of his signature spots during the match and more, fans noticed that Hardy appeared to be moving anything but smoothly for much of the contest.

The report states that Hardy’s body took a beating during his recent No Disqualification Match with Darby Allin, and he is unsurprisingly still feeling the effects. Again, it is unclear as to how long the Charismatic Enigma will be out of action.
