Adam Cole breaks down and leaves fans in tears at All In 2025.
Earlier tonight, ahead of the 2025 edition of the All In PPV, Tony Khan announced Cole’s injury and how he had to relinquish his TNT Championship. Just hours before the title match on the All In match card, Cole had to pull himself away and instead put the vacant championship up for grabs.
Before the Four-Way match for the TNT title tonight, fans witnessed Cole come out to a roaring crowd, following MJF’s Casino Gauntlet match victory. Engaging in his routine entrance theme, Cole then proceeded to drop the most disheartening news of the night.
Gracefully keeping his TNT title on the mat, Adam Cole announced his long departure from the promotion. While not confirming his retirement, the former champion publicly addressed his injury and tearfully confirmed his hiatus. Cole announced his upcoming absence from professional wrestling due to health concerns, leaving fans, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly distraught.
However, Cole got emotional after mentioning retirement as the fans roared their support for him. He expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support throughout his career. Thanking the fans, the 36-year-old said,
“I will love you forever.”
He then proceeded to embrace Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly, before hitting the ‘Adam Cole Baybay’ chant with the fans.
Later, in the night, Dustin Rhodes faced off against Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia, and Kyle Fletcher for the vacant TNT Championship.
Adam Cole Once Wanted To Face These Three Wrestlers
Last year, Adam Cole made his long-awaited return, before winning the TNT title from Daniel Garcia earlier this year. A couple of months ago, during his appearance on the Battleground Podcast,Adam Cole named more stars he would like to defend his title against.
“Oh man, again, the tagline of, ‘Where the best wrestle, when you look at our roster. I mean, it really is stacked with the best wrestlers in the world. There are so many guys that I would love to face that I haven’t had the chance to within AEW. Will Ospreay is a guy I’d love to step into the ring with. Kevin Knight is absolutely incredible. He’s done an unreal job. I’d love to step into the ring with him.
For the longest time, Daniel Garcia was someone I wanted to fight, and then we had a trilogy of matches, which was fun. So, man, there is just there are so many guys on our roster that I would love to step into the ring with.
Part of the reason that the open challenge happened is to get the chance to face off, and step into the ring with some of these guys who I hopefully will get the chance to do so, because I gotta solidify myself as the best TNT Champion of all time, and part of that will be these matches that I have and the challenges that I face. So, man, I could go on and on through our whole roster, but quite a few guys I’d love to step into the ring with.”
However, with him now gone, these matches remain a fantasy.
We at ITR Wrestling wish Adam Cole a safe and steady recovery.
In other news: Samoa Joe’s career almost came to a halt at AEW All In 2025.
