Action Bronson Opens Up About AEW Experience: “Weird Vibes” Backstage & Why He Hasn’t Returned

Action Bronson Opens Up About AEW Experience:

Musician and actor Action Bronson has spoken about his brief time in AEW and why he has not made any follow-up appearances.

Back in 2022, Bronson competed in his one and only pro wrestling match where he and Hook defeated Matt Menard and Angelo Parker on the Grand Slam edition of Rampage. Bronson’s song The Chairman’s Intent is currently used by Hook as his entrance theme. Although Bronson put on a good performance in the match and was well-received by the crowd, he has not been seen on AEW programming since.

During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Bronson was asked if he wanted another match, to which the singer noted that he never got another call to come back:

“You know what they do. They don’t call you back. I never got called back. There was an angle there. I’m ready right now. I’m ready for whoever.”

Action Bronson Says AEW Backstage Was “Weird”

When asked about the backstage environment and if he enjoyed being backstage, Bronson responded that it was “weird vibes” backstage and commented on the cliquey environment:

“Actually, no. I enjoy the act. I don’t like the…the backstage is weird over there. It’s just weird. It was just like everyone’s cliquey,” later adding he wasn’t looking to be welcomed but that “you could tell it was weird vibes.”

In terms of potentially wrestling again, Bronson was very open to having another match:

“100%. It was a great time. If I get the call and it’s a big show, I’m coming,”

In other news, AEW has clarified the broadcast plans for the upcoming Grand Slam Australia show.
