Former Raw Tag Team Champion Omos is eager to make a solo impact in WWE as he gears up for his return.
The towering Superstar has been absent from television since April 2024, when he last competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Despite his time away, Omos is ready to evolve his character and stand independently, utilising the lessons he’s learned from his time alongside AJ Styles and MVP. Speaking on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast during a Patreon-exclusive Q&A session, Omos reflected on his growth as a performer.
I think it’s evolved a lot. I started off as AJ’s heater and then went on to do my own thing. Then I got a manager with MVP. He was kind of like my Bobby Heenan in that type of way.
Having learned from two seasoned veterans, Omos believes he is now prepared to be a solo force in WWE.
I think now I’m ready to be on my own and stand as a performer by myself. I’ve learned so much from both of them.
Omos detailed how AJ Styles helped him understand the fundamentals of being a giant in the ring.
With AJ, it was figuring out the basics as a performer, knowing how to be a giant.
Meanwhile, MVP taught him how to command a presence and sell moves naturally.
MVP pointed out to me, ‘Hey, you want to make it feel more natural when you sell,’ just the little intangibles.
He also credited MVP with giving him opportunities to speak and grow more comfortable on the mic. Reflecting on his journey, Omos expressed confidence in his future.
All the house shows that I did last year… helped me a lot in my growth, and I think going forward, I am ready for whatever is thrown at me.
Currently, it is unknown when Omos will make his return to WWE programming.
What Did Bobby Lashley Say Multiple WWE Superstars Tried To Do To Omos When He Started?
Bobby Lashley claimed that multiple WWE Superstars tried to get Omos fired when he debuted with the company. Lashley said that Omos rubbed some wrestlers the wrong way due to working stiff and that the Superstars he worked with at the beginning of his career complained to the office about him and tried to get him fired. Lashley said that he was happy when he got the opportunity to work with Omos because he wanted the challenge to push Omos out of his comfort zone and make him a better performer.
