A member of the WWE roster currently side-lined with injury is unlikely to be back in time for WrestleMania 41.
Last competing in May 2024 at Backlash, Asuka suffered a knee injury that required surgery. While the former Women’s Champion has provided updates on her road to recovery, there has been no indication that The Empress will be making her return to TV in the near future.
With WrestleMania fast approaching, the promotion has begun the build to more matches for the event as Jade Cargill and Randy Orton made their returns at Elimination Chamber. However, according to a recent report, Asuka will not be returning prior to the show.
As reported by Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam, The Empress will “remain out of action for at least a couple more months, with a return timeline likely falling sometime after WrestleMania.” It is also added that Asuka is progressing well as she continues her road to recovery.
Another Major WWE WrestleMania Match Locked In
With the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event now in the books, all 4 of the top champions now know who they will be facing at WrestleMania 41 in April. While Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair and Gunther vs. Jey Uso was confirmed prior to the event, John Cena secured his spot at the show by emerging victorious in the Elimination Chamber and will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship in April.
Also at Elimination Chamber, Bianca Belair won the women’s match to kick off the show. While it appeared that Belair would be facing Rhea Ripley at Mania, a shock result in the main event of the March 3rd episode of Raw has changed plans for the show.
