Absent WWE Star Confirms Contract Extension

Alexa Bliss & Bray Wyatt

Alexa Bliss hasn’t appeared on WWE television since losing out to Bianca Belair at the 2023 Royal Rumble, and she won’t be back any time soon.

On May 30th the star and her husband Ryan Cabrera announced they’re expecting their first child in December, so that rules out a return until 2024. However, her absence and pregnancy don’t mean that she won’t be back. After telling fans that she plans to return, Bliss revealed in an interview with The Messenger that WWE has extended her contract.

Bliss added that she’s free to return to the company whenever she’s ready.

“WWE gave me time off for [Masked Singer] to kind of fully dive into that experience with rehearsals, vocal lessons, and all that stuff,” she said. “Storyline-wise, I was not on TV anyway, so it really kind of worked out perfectly. [WWE] extended my contract, and so it’s just basically come back when I’m ready. Probably a month after the baby, I’ll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready to see what my in-ring return looks like.”

Alexa Bliss Missing From The WWE Draft

Although Alexa Bliss has been away from WWE since January, eyebrows were raised when she wasn’t included in the WWE Draft. Interestingly, neither was Bray Wyatt who is also absent from the company.

It had long been rumoured that the pair were set to link up on screen once again after Bliss had interacted with Uncle Howdy multiple times in Raw.

Bray Wyatt hasn’t been seen on WWE television in person since February, and there is no official word on when he will be back.
