A return and title change took place on the April 22nd episode of WWE NXT.
Rounding out WWE’s lengthy stint in Las Vegas as part of WrestleMania weekend, NXT focused on the fallout from Stand & Deliver while also setting up the next phase of programming. Along with an appearance from new Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and another cameo from TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, fans saw a return and new champion crowned on the show.
North American Champion Ricky Saints celebrated his title retention over Ethan Page before being interrupted by Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King, who had spent the weekend tracking down his Heritage Cup as magicians Penn and Teller had made it disappear the previous week.
Hosting an open challenge, King’s opponent was revealed to be Noam Dar, who returned to the ring for the first time since May 2024. Dar defeated King in just over 4 minutes, winning the Heritage Cup for the 4th time in his career. King will challenge Saints for the North American Championship on the April 29th NXT. Had King retained the Heritage Cup, the match would have been a winner take all contest.
Dar had been away from TV since May as he had suffered a torn tendon. In storyline, Ethan Page was deemed to be the one responsible for the injury.
