AEW star gives a big health update following a 1,110-day absence.
AEW currently has several stars missing in action due to injuries, but some are absent due to more serious health issues, such as Rebel. The star, who initially signed to become All Elite in 2019 for a backstage role but later became an on-screen character, has been missing from programming for a while.
Fans last saw Rebel in action under the AEW banner on Dark’s August 21, 2022, episode, where she defeated Vicky Dreamboat. Following this, her next appearance was for GLCW’s Beauties and the Beats IV in February last year, where she and Harley Cameron defeated Gema and Sophia Rose.
Many are wondering what happened to the 46-year-old, but in May last year, she revealed she was struggling with pneumonia, which even led her to be hospitalized. Now, it seems like the star continues her treatment for her health.
AEW Star Rebel Is Set To Undergo Her 5th Bronchoscopy This Past Year
The AEW star has kept fans updated regarding her road to recovery on Instagram. In June, she went through another surgery to get better after being hospitalized in May 2024. Following this, she went to a hyperbaric oxygen chamber in an attempt “to do everything” for the betterment of her health.
Recently, Rebel shared on her Instagram post that she was at the Mayo Clinic to get her fifth Bronchoscopy in the past year. For those wondering, Bronchoscopy is a procedure that allows doctors to examine the lungs using a thin and lighted tube. On her post, she even thanked the clinic for accepting a complicated case like hers.
Mayo Clinic, where the Elite go to get treated by the Elite. Tomorrow I will go for another bronchoscopy, my 5th time going under in the past year. [praying hands emoji] I’m so blessed to have @mayoclinic accept my complicated case. #LetsTryThisAgain”
