Abadon Hospitalised At AEW Dynamite Taping

AEW wrestler Abadon was injured and hospitalised during an AEW Dynamite taping last night in her match with Tay Conti, which was due to air next week.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury occurred early in the match and there is no word yet on whether the bout will be aired.

While it was described as a ‘serious injury’ and there is no clear note on how it happened, Dave Meltzer has said on F4WOnline that she is expected to make a full recovery.

There is no confirmation regarding how long she will be out of action.

This result will come as a significant blow to AEW. Their women’s division has been a point of criticism from fans. Abadon has been impressive in her previous appearances and was seen as a potential star of the division going forward.

After being a popular act in the Denver area, Abadon had appeared sporadically on Dynamite over the past few months. Her unique look, mixed with a frantic, aggressive style has allowed her to stand out in AEW.

Her opponent in the match, Tay Conti, is another new signing to AEW. She signed with AEW over the summer and has made a number of on-air appearances after departing WWE.
