AAA’s Triplemania XXVIII Results In Full

Against the odds, Mexican promotion AAA delivered their annual Triplemania show this past Saturday, albeit in an empty arena environment.

The event, which took place in Mexico City, was headlined by a brutal hair vs hair match between Pagano and Chessman, with the former ultimately picking up the win.

Following an Air Raid Crash, delivered from a raised platform, through a table on the back of a truck, Chessman had to be brought back to the ring by medical staff in order to have his head shaved.

Elsewhere on the card, AEW Champion and current AAA Mega Champion Kenny Omega retained his belt against Laredo Kid in a high octane encounter, following interference from Michael Nakazawa.

After the bout, Omega recommended that El Hijo del Vikingo, who had been at ringside with Laredo, be his next challenger.

Omega’s AEW alumni Pentagon Jr and Fenix were also on the card, successfully defending their AAA Tag Team Championships against Los Mercenarios (Texano Jr. & Rey Escorpion) and Los Jinetes del Aire (Myzteziz Jr. & Octagon Jr.).

After the bout, Taurus ran in to officially link up with Los Mercenarios.

In luchadoras action, Lady Shani won the Copa Triplemania, a Royal Rumble style contest which featured the likes of Faby Apache, Big Mami and La Hiedra.

After the bout, Shani was attacked by the debuting Lady Flammer, setting up a new feud for 2021.
