A match for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship was announced, alongside three other matches and three segments on AEW Rampage!
On the August 10th episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed current AAA Mixed Tag Team champions, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo (formerly Tay Conti), will make their first title defence on the upcoming edition of AEW Rampage.
The Jericho Appreciation Society members will take on the team of Dante Martin and Skye Blue. The former took on Guevara in a losing effort at Fight for the Fallen which was followed by a post-match beat down.
Guevara & Melo became AAA Mixed Tag Team champions at TripleMania XXX: Monterrey defeating Komander & Sexy Star, Latigo & Maravilla, and former champions Los Vipers (Arez & Chik Tormenta) in a Fatal 4-Way match.
Guevara and Melo announced their engagement back in June, before officially tying the knot on August 7.
Also announced for the show were the TV in-ring debut of Erick Redbeard and Parker Boudreaux. Redbeard was last seen teaming with PAC & Penta Oscuro against the House of Black at AEW Revolution’s pre-show. Boudreaux was released from WWE (where he performed as Harland) back in April, making his AEW debut on the August 2 edition of Dark.
