The real-life power couples Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins and AJ Lee & CM Punk will throw down at Wrestlepalooza, the show that marks WWE’s debut on ESPN.
Lynch and Rollins, who are also the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Champions on Monday Night RAW, respectively, have become major attractions in the WWE milieu. Meanwhile, The Man’s former rival, Bianca Belair, hopes to create “magic” with her husband, Montez Ford, down the line.
Belair addressed her husband’s current run in the tag team division, where he has worked for the entirety of his WWE career thus far. Ford, 35, has been cited by many within the industry as an all-rounder worthy of being pushed to the sports entertainment capital’s main event scene.
Bianca Belair Hopes To See Montez Ford Succeed As A Singles Star In WWE Before They Pair Up On-Screen
On the Club 520 Podcast, Bianca Belair was asked whether she wanted to work with her husband on WWE TV in the wake of the unique Mixed Tag Team match announcement at Wrestlepalooza.
While The EST showed excitement, she pointed out the Street Profits’ role and ambitions in the tag team division. She added that after Montez Ford finds his footing in the singles division, she would love to work with him on-screen, similar to Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, AJ Lee, and CM Punk.
I would love to, you know? Having my husband [Montez Ford] and me in the ring together, we could create some magic. I do think that–he’s in a tag team right now [Street Profits], and they have a lot more they want to accomplish–eventually, when he goes solo, I would love to see him soar.
And then, maybe we come together, like what Becky [Lynch] and Seth [Rollins] are doing, what [CM] Punk and AJ [Lee] are doing–they’re about to go against each other at Wrestlepalooza on ESPN, September 20th. It’s super exciting, something people have not seen before. It’s happening for the first time with WWE and ESPN. So, I would love to do something like that.
Bianca Belair skyrocketed to fame right out of the gate on WWE’s main roster. She cemented her place in the main event scene after her rivalry with Becky Lynch between 2021 and 2022.
