WWE legend on Hulk Hogan

A WWE legend recently dropped a bombshell on Hulk Hogan, stating that the icon was not fun to work with.

Hulk Hogan was a legend of the business and considered by many to be the biggest babyface the industry has ever seen. The star was one of the top draws in the history of professional wrestling. Alongside Vince McMahon, he created WWE from the ground up and was its biggest star. Despite McMahon and The Hulkster having a tumultuous relationship over the years, Hogan was seen as his favorite superstar and his go-to man. Despite being the biggest star in WWE, he was not “fun to work with,” according to the legendary commentator and Hall of Famer Jim Ross.

Jim Ross Reveals Details Of Hulk Hogan’s Backstage Issues In WWE

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, the legendary voice of pro wrestling spoke about the backstage issues regarding Hulk Hogan. Ross, who spent years with WWE not only as the company’s voice, but also as the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations. The legendary announcer, now 73, dealt with a lot of talent throughout his years in the business. He recently spoke about Hulk Hogan after the legend’s unfortunate passing at the age of 71.

Jim Ross stated that The Hulkster was always paranoid about his position in the company and that he was “not fun to work with.” The current AEW commentator also claimed that Hogan was more concerned about how his character would be presented on TV rather than how much money was on his contract.

He was not fun to work with in my opinion, and I hate to speak ill of the dead, if it is speaking ill of the dead.”

He then stated that Hulk Hogan did not trust anybody.

He didn’t trust anybody, Conrad [the host]. He thought everybody had an ulterior motive and everybody was out to get him. I went to the trouble of negotiating with him, which was another adventure. He was seemingly, now this is just my opinion, more concerned with creative and how he was going to be used than the money that was being offered on his contract and being a member of the team. Something just wasn’t working there. A part of that, I surmise, at the end of the day, he just didn’t trust. He’s the greatest babyface in history. Mine is Stone Cold, and I wouldn’t trade Stone Cold for Hulk Hogan. He had nothing to be paranoid about, but he was just always second-guessing. It can be a pain in the a*s to deal with.”

WWE dedicated three shows, SmackDown, RAW, and NXT, to showcase their tributes to Hogan after the legend’s passing. Many legends from within the industry were present on the shows to pay their respects to The Hulkster.
