A 40-year-old WWE star’s incredible and unexpected rise has been compared to that of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s.
One of the incredible things about WWE and pro wrestling as a whole is that at any point, a wrestler could have an unexpected rise from the shadows. Over the years, there have been several such success stories, but perhaps the most successful is none other than Hall of Famer, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Steve Austin’s rise to the top was nothing short of exceptional, and his influence is still felt in the industry today. Well, recently, another star’s rise has been compared to that of the Texas Rattlesnake’s, and it’s none other than the 40-year-old Karrion Kross.
Kross’ rise to the top, as mentioned earlier, was unexpected. However, recently, Paul Heyman appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he commented on the same. He stated that The Herald of Doomsday’s success has been organic, and for the most part can be credited to the fans.
He believes that the WWE Universe wants Kross to be a bigger star, and likened this phenomenon to what was seen years ago with Steve Austin.
We’re not shoving him and Scarlett down anybody’s throats. The audience itself is making him a star… It reminds me of someone else, by the way, that was in WWE that the audience felt, ‘this is our guy… We’re going to demand that you make him a bigger star.’ That guy’s name was Steve Austin.”

Karrion Kross’ rise has truly been nothing short of exceptional, and it just goes to show that the power the fans hold is something else entirely.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux’s WWE contracts are set to expire this weekend
Despite his sudden rise as a WWE Superstar, Karrion Kross may not be with the Stamford-based promotion for long. For months now, it has been reported that Kross’ contract with the company, as well as that of his wife, Scarett Bordeaux, is set to expire in August.
Well, now reports have come out suggesting that it could expire as early as this weekend. It would be a huge disappointment to see them both leave the company, especially considering all the momentum they have gained. That said, this is just the nature of the pro wrestling business.
