A popular name told Triple H that he wanted to lose his match at WWE SummerSlam.
While the Premium Live Event had great matches, one of the standout matches was the tag team bout between the team of Randy Orton and Jelly Roll against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.
The acclaimed musician surprised fans by putting up a great performance in his tag team match on Night 2 of the Biggest Party of the Summer.
Jelly Roll already won fans’ respect by getting into shape and training hard for his match. Fans also praised the 40-year-old musician’s willingness to take a crazy bump through the announcer’s table.
Fans were surprised by his loss, but Jelly Roll revealed it was the outcome he specifically requested from the WWE CCO.
Jelly Roll Explains Why He Asked Triple H For The Loss At WWE SummerSlam
Speaking on the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About? With Cody Rhodes, the award-winning musician, revealed that he wanted the loss as it would be a result that fans would not see coming, as usually WWE ensures the celebrities get a win.
Jelly continued that he also wanted the loss, as it would give him a solid reason to come back. Anytime he wanted to make a reappearance, all three stars he was involved with would be there to continue his story.
The star added that he loved the experience so much that he wants to be a regular in the WWE. He said:
“I’ll tell you this. Talking like homies. I told Triple H, I wanna lose SummerSlam.[Yeah] Just cuz no celebrities ever got took an L, they always put them over. [Yeah] And if you don’t put me over, I always have a reason, [yeah]. There’s always just something lingering there; I can pop up anytime. Any one of those three are there. [Man, I mean, I love that.] I love it, Cody. I’m showing up every day.”
