WWE Unreal on Netflix gave fans a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes and beyond the ring.
Netflix recently released a new series, WWE Unreal, which goes backstage with superstars and staff as they bring the company’s storylines and feuds to life. The series shed light on how John Cena’s heel turn came to be, the Road to WrestleMania 41, RAW’s first show at the aforementioned streaming platform, what goes on in the Gorilla when shows happen, and more.
While the series showed some interesting points and got in-depth with the superstars in the highs and lows of their careers, there have been moments in the show, especially now that it’s released, that the Stamford-based promotion might have wanted to opt out.
#4. Bruce Prichard Received A Lot Of Hate Regarding RAW’s Netflix Debut Ending
Is Bruce Pritchard a mob boss? Seeing Abyss afraid he let him down for #RawOnNetflix going over felt like someone who didn’t want to get whacked. That was the most shocking thing I saw on episode 1 of #WWEUnreal#Unrealpic.twitter.com/TS1djugjpi

The first episode of Unreal showed the backstage happenings of the historic RAW Netflix debut earlier this year. The episode focused on how the matches and feuds were built, written, and produced, along with how backstage personnel acted before, during, and after each clash.
One of the main talking points of the episode was when WWE producer and former superstar Abyss, real name Christopher Joseph Park, was stressing out because Seth Rollins and CM Punk’s match was going over the allotted time limit. During and after the match, he kept apologizing to Bruce Prichard.
Abyss continuously apologizing and Bruce brushing him off, and acting cold, didn’t sit well with fans, causing many to say negative things about Prichard.
#3. WWE Showed Jey Uso Wasn’t The First Choice As The Royal Rumble 2025 Winner

The second episode of WWE Unreal showed the makings of the Men’s Royal Rumble and how earlier discussions had CM Punk and John Cena pitched to win the match. However, Michael Hayes later suggested that it should go to Jey Uso instead, which ended up happening.
The reaction gained mixed reactions from fans early on, and the series showing he wasn’t even a first or second option didn’t help The Yeet Master’s case. If anything, the anger and disappointment fans felt for not seeing fan favorites like Cena and Punk win the match was reignited after learning one of those two men was close to doing so.
#2. Triple H’s Reaction To Tiffany Stratton Going Off-Script On Charlotte Flair
Triple H NOT happy after Tiffany Stratton went off script in her promo with Charlotte Flair in the lead up to WrestleMania:
“I need Tiffany to understand that’s obviously not how we do this. She needs to go to Charlotte and apologise.”

One of the main storylines heading into WrestleMania 41 was the feud between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Championship. Things took a turn between the women when they engaged in a war of words, which saw the latter mention the former’s recent divorce and mention her two other failed marriages.
The line was not part of the script, and on WWE Unreal, it showed Triple H getting mad about the personal insult and instructed that he wanted to Tiffany to apologize to Charlotte. However, fans noted that despite going off-script, Stratton didn’t receive any more punishment and even went on to WrestleMania 41. Especially since months later, Charlotte revealed how that line alone had affected her emotionally and mentally.
#1. Travis Scott’s Entire Involvement
Just finished watching WWE Unreal, and one thing they never addressed is why Travis Scott was included in the first place.
It wasn’t Triple H’s decision.
It wasn’t The Rock’s decision.Honestly, I feel like the rumors are true, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel gave him the spot as a favor. pic.twitter.com/flsFfGm6gC

Travis Scott was involved in one of the biggest wrestling moments in history, John Cena turning heel at Elimination Chamber before proceeding to side with The Rock and attack Cody Rhodes. Months later, he was also present at WrestleMania 41, where he helped The Cenation Leader become a 17-time World Champion.
WWE Unreal showed that Scott wasn’t even brought in by either Triple H or The Rock, raising many fans to question whether the rapper’s involvement was truly due to his connection with Ari Emanuel. Months later, the musician is not seen on television despite reports of him training, though feedback regarding his performance was also unsatisfying.
