25-Year-Old Star Mercilessly Ousted From WWE By Legend

WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton

WWE does release stars due to budget cuts or other reasons when required, but recently, a 25-year-old star was ousted from the company due to other reasons.

WWE runs a reality competition series named ‘LFG’ that stands for ‘Legends and Future Greats,’ on A&E TV. It features up-and-coming talent from the company’s developmental system, providing them with a contract with the NXT brand. The contestants are mentored by WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Bully Ray, and Booker T.

Zena Sterling and Haze Jameson are two contestants from Bully Ray’s team who attracted everyone’s attention with their in-ring prowess. However, on the September 14 episode of WWE LFG season 2, the WWE Hall of Famer had to eliminate one of the two rising stars.

Ray can be seen talking directly to Jameson, informing the 25-year-old of the news. Bully Ray was blunt and merciless in his announcement and did not pander to the star’s feelings. It may be merciless, but that is how the WWE legend does things.

(To Sterling): How does a girl, who many believed, should have won the season one, becomes stale? I’m shocked.

(To Jameson): And you? You have convinced all four of us, that you should move forward.

(To Sterling): I still believe in you, and I hope you still believe in yourself. You need to do something and you need to do something now.

(To Jameson): Good new or bad news? What do you want first?

Jameson: Bad news

Bully Ray (To Jameson): You’re going home. (Jameson laughing nervously) You want the good news? I would love to go do a shot of tequila with you.

Jameson: Alright, let’s fu*king go! That’s a win.

Ray (To Sterling): Do what you set out to do, win.

Bully Ray offering to take a tequila shot after breaking such news was a typical Bully Ray move, which only he could have pulled perfectly out of all four judges.

The Legendary Guidance Provided to Young Talents at WWE LFG

Under the watchful eyes of wrestling icons, LFG offers more than just a shot at stardom: it shares real lessons from the ring. The Undertaker steps in to teach the importance of presence and pacing, showing young stars how to own every moment under the lights. McCool brings her technical expertise, breaking down fundamental holds and counters so contestants can sharpen their skill set. Booker T emphasizes storytelling, guiding wrestlers on how to build a connection with the crowd. Bully Ray focuses on grit and resilience, reminding competitors that setbacks are part of any journey.

Each mentor tailors feedback to individual strengths and weaknesses, creating a personal roadmap for improvement. Through one-on-one sessions and group drills, these legends pass down decades of hard-earned wisdom. For many contestants, this rare access to WWE’s top minds proves invaluable, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in NXT and beyond.

Season 1 winners, Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae Steele, earned their tickets to NXT through hard work and are now a part of the developmental brand.
