Sonya Deville has announced that a 25-man Battle Royal has been added to Survivor Series to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Rock’s WWE debut.

The card of Survivor Series 2021 is now complete. On SmackDown, Sheamus earned the final spot on the blue squad to take on Team Raw, while the final match was added to the card.

Upset at losing a match against Jeff Hardy the previous week which cost him his place on Team SmackDown, Sami Zayn confronted WWE official Sonya Deville. Zayn ranted about the long-running conspiracy that has been working against him, pointing to his still unreleased documentary and his loss to Hardy a week earlier.

In response, Deville blamed Zayn being removed from the match on Adam Pearce, before explaining that she was booking a 25-man Battle Royal which Zayn would have an opportunity to win. The match is to honour the career of WWE legend The Rock, who debuted at Survivor Series 25 years ago.
