WWE is the world’s largest professional wrestling promotion, with reported earnings of $310.3 million as of 2021’s fourth quarter, and now the salaries of top WWE executives have seemingly been revealed.
It was reported in WWE’s 2021 Q4 earnings that the company’s revenue had increased by 30% to a total of $310.3 million, up from the $238.2 million that they were reported to have made at the end of 2020. Their annual proxy statement has now been released, containing the reported salaries of Vince and Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and Nick Khan, amongst others.
Vince McMahon unsurprisingly took home a considerable amount, with earnings of $5,051,547, alongside $13.8 million in stock dividends. Forbes currently has him listed as the 1,397th richest billionaire in the world, with a reported net worth of $2.2 billion.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon both made roughly half of what Vince did. Triple H’s reported income was $2,841,544, while Stephanie is said to have earned $2,592,205. Interestingly, ‘The Game’ was reportedly also paid a downside of $1 million as part of his performer’s contract, despite not wrestling once in 2021. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer spoke of Triple H’s income (h/t Sportskeeda):
”Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development Paul Levesque earned $2,841,544 which was $730,000 in salary, $583,523 in stock awards, $511,000 in a bonus based on profit goals and $1,017,021 of other revenue. Most likely the bulk of that would be an estimated $1 million downside as a performer, although he didn’t perform much this year but is under performer contract.”
Triple H announced his retirement from the ring at the end of March, owing to complications from a heart condition. His last match was at a June 2019 WWE live event in Tokyo, Japan, where he and Shinsuke Nakamura were victorious over Robert Roode and Samoa Joe.
As for other WWE executive incomes, Nick Khan, infamous for his role in WWE’s mass releases over the past two years, has earnings of $5,706,871, though he wasn’t the highest-paid executive. It was reported that the highest-paid executive was, in fact, WWE’s Chief Financial Officer Frank Riddick. He’s said to have made $6,636,557.
It was previously reported that Shane McMahon, who wrestled just one match in 2021 and is no longer involved as a shareholder with WWE, had earnings of $1,313,823 last year. The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion last wrestled as part of the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble match, where he made it to the final three.
