18-Year WWE Veteran Calls For Title Shot Ahead Of WrestleMania 41

With just over three weeks until WrestleMania 41, an 18-year WWE veteran has publicly staked their claim for a championship opportunity.

On the March 25 Raw in Glasgow, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria successfully defended her title against The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez. Despite interference attempts from Liv Morgan at ringside, Valkyria secured the victory, her third successful defence since being crowned the inaugural champion two months ago.

Following her win, WWE posted a backstage interview between Valkyria and Cathy Kelley on social media, asking fans who should challenge the Irish star next. The question drew a swift response from former champion Natalya, who simply replied:

Natalya, who joined the promotion way back in 2007, has not wrestled on Raw since 16 December 2024. However, she competed in the 2025 Royal Rumble and has made recent appearances on Speed and Main Event.

While absent from Raw’s main broadcasts, Natalya has remained active in exclusive segments on WWE.com and YouTube. These clips have documented her mentorship of Maxxine Dupri, who has sought guidance from the veteran star.

As of now, WWE has not announced Valkyria’s next challenger or any plans for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41. However, with Natalya making her intentions clear, fans will be watching closely to see if the company grants her the title opportunity she seeks.

Which Legendary Wrestler Did Natalya Call For A WWE Hall Of Fame Induction?

Natalya posted on social media and called for a WWE Hall of Fame induction for legendary Northern Irish wrestler Fit Finlay. Finlay began wrestling in 1974 and became a top star in World of Sport throughout the 80s before moving to the United States to join WCW in 1996. Finlay joined WWE in 2001, and after leaving briefly in 2011, he returned in 2012 and has served as a trainer at the Performance Center ever since.
