11-Time Champion In WWE & TNA Hints At In-Ring Comeback

A notable former WWE Women’s Champion has teased a possible return to the ring either in the company or in TNA.

Competing in WWE from 2005 to 2010 and returning from 2016 to 2021, Mickie James went on to win the Women’s Championship 6 times. The first of these reigns occurred at WrestleMania 22 following the culmination of her memorable feud with Trish Stratus. One of the standout stars of the division at a time when in-ring work was not as valued as it is today, James became one of the standout stars of the division.

James also had multiple runs in TNA and won the Knockouts Championship 5 times. Feuding with top stars including Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace, James once again was one of the standout stars on the roster.

Having not competed for either promotion since October 2023, the former Women’s Champion could once again be on the verge of a comeback. Responding to a fan who stated they wanted to see James back in either a WWE or TNA ring on social media, the 11-time Women’s Champion agreed:

When Did Mickie James Last Compete In WWE?

While reigning as the Knockouts Champion, James competed in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, Becoming the first contracted TNA star to enter the match, Jordynne Grace did the same 2 years later. James’s last singles match in the company took place back in September 2020 when the former Women’s Champion lost to Zelina Vega.

James was also recently spotted among the legends at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event in Atlanta, Georgia.

Alexa Bliss, who was a former ally and rival of James, also recently addressed her status with WWE and her impending return.
