WWE fans are no strangers to Aaliyah Mysterio, as she has made appearances for the company and was also involved in a storyline. Recently, news surfaced that she was training at The Dungeon, sparking speculation that she could be making her debut for the promotion.
While Rey Mysterio has commented that he wants her to focus on her academic goals and pursue a career in the medical field, there is a possibility that she might choose wrestling as her career, and in this article, we explore how WWE could book her debut.
Before we begin, please note that this is an opinion piece, exploring a fantasy booking angle.
The setting is the 2026 Royal Rumble, Rhea Ripley is giving it her all, and it looks like she is on her path to win it. She ends up being in the final four, and at a point, she finds herself going over the top rope and landing on the apron, when it looks like she is going to make her way back into the ring, someone in a hoodie comes and trips her, thereby eliminating her.
The unknown person beats down Ripley, who is still trying to process what happened. Security comes over and takes the hooded figure away, who unmasks and reveals that it is Aalyah Mysterio. The next night on WWE RAW, Mysterio comes and calls out Ripley because she wants to justify her actions to her face,
An incensed Eradicator makes her way to the ring, and Mysterio tells her the reason she cost her a win was because she took away something close to her, that being her brother, Dominik Mysterio. Fans may remember that Ripley was the one who lured Dom to join Judgment Day.
Ripley is taken aback and tries to reason with her, but before she can do that, Aalyah strikes her down with the mic and beats her. Before leaving the ring, Aalyah Mysterio rubs salt in Ripley’s wounds by saying, “Say hi to our Buddy for me,” referencing the romantic angle she had with Buddy Matthews (aka Buddy Murphy).
This starts a programme among the two where Aalyah makes Ripley’s life hell at every opportunity she can get. Asking Rhea Ripley to fight her in a match, which she refuses. Even Rey tries to tell her that this is wrong, but she says this is the only way Ripley can atone for her mistakes, to which Rey Mysterio reluctantly agrees.
In the midst of all this, Dirty Dom tries to recruit her to The Judgment Day, which she turns down and tells him that she only wants her brother back.
Cut to after weeks and weeks of clashes, Ripley finally snaps and gives her the match at Night 1 of WWE WrestleMania 42, and to everyone’s surprise, Aalyah puts up a fierce performance. Ripley, for her part, tries to go easy on her, which Mysterio takes as a sign of disrespect and slaps Ripley to enrage her.
The former WWE Women’s Champion loses it and sets her up for the Riptide, only for Liv Morgan and Dirty Dom to run in and distract Ripley long enough for Mysterio to escape and do a surprise pin on her. Though enraged, Ripley calms down and extends a hand and an apology to Aalyah and promises her that she will do whatever she can to get Dom back, thereby ending their feud.
Next Feud For Aalyah Mysterio And Future WWE Storylines
After this, WWE can book an angle where Aalyah takes on Liv Morgan, given how Dom is under her spell, Mysterio knows this is the only way to get her brother back.
Dom confronts his sister to join his faction, saying they helped her win on the biggest stage of them all and how their father is a deadbeat something, which Morgan also doubles down on, to which an irritated Aalyah slaps Morgan and says, “I’ll see you next.”
This could build to a match at WWE Survivor Series where Rey and Aalyah faced Liv and Dom, with the stipulation being that if he loses, Dom leaves the Judgment Day. They have a fierce match, Morgan tries to cheat but is stopped by Ripley, costing them the match and Dom a place in the Judgment Day.
This could further lead to a feud where Dom puts this on Rey, and they have the final blow-off match at the next Premium Live Event.
