All Elite Wrestling are set to join the video game market with ‘AEW Fight Forever’, available on console and PC in late 2022. Here we look at the confirmed roster so far.
AEW and video game fans were sent in to a frenzy when AEW President Tony Khan spoke of “multiple games” in development during a post-show media scrum following AEW Full Gear in November 2021. The following day AEW’s console game was officially unveiled alongside mobile games ‘AEW Elite General Manager’ and ‘AEW Casino: Double Or Nothing’ during AEW Games 1.0 Special Event.
In the months since, roster members and modes the game will feature have been confirmed, with AEW providing updates via the AEW Games YouTube and Twitch channels. A trailer showing AEW stars Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho has been released, alongside development footage of Nyla Rose, Kris Statlander, Jungle Boy and Darby Allin.
Former AEW Champion and renowned video game enthusiast Kennny Omega has been working closely with the game’s development team Yuke’s to make the AEW game a reality.
Fightful Select provided an update on the state of the game with Omega said to have gone “above and beyond” with his contributions to the game, which included getting the director of the popular WWF No Mercy games, Hideyuki Iwashita, to be involved in the game’s development.
