Takeshita began his professional wrestling career with DDT Pro-Wrestling. On January 4th, 2025, at Wrestle Kingdom 19, he defeated Shingo Takagi to win the NEVER Openweight Championship in a Winner Takes All match that also involved his AEW International Championship. Following this victory, Takeshita announced his affiliation with NJPW, while remaining under contract with AEW and DDT.
