WWE star and Hollywood actor John Cena made an unexpected and entertaining appearance on Inside The NBA Tuesday night, crashing the set in full Peacemaker gear.
The show’s hosts, Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley, were in the midst of promoting the upcoming second season of Cena’s Max series Peacemaker by trying on replicas of the character’s iconic helmet. The segment took a surprise turn when Cena walked onto the set to join the fun.

After a brief struggle to get his own Peacemaker helmet properly secured, Cena managed to join the rest of the crew in costume. His entrance instantly energised the studio, with Shaquille O’Neal using the moment as an excuse to playfully attack Charles Barkley in true pro wrestling fashion.
The surprise crossover served to promote Peacemaker season two, which is set to premiere on Max on August 21st. Cena reprises his role as the gun-toting, morally questionable hero from the DC Universe, a role he debuted in 2021’s The Suicide Squad before spinning off into his own critically acclaimed series.
In addition to his TV commitments, Cena is also active in the wrestling ring. He is currently the Undisputed WWE Champion and is scheduled to defend his title against Randy Orton at Backlash on Saturday, May 10.
