Arn Anderson Names The Greatest WWE Tag Team Not In The Hall Of Fame

Arn Anderson

WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson named the legendary tag team Demolition as one of the greatest teams that hasn’t yet received a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

Speaking on his podcast, ARN, Anderson was asked which teams, currently not enshrined, are among the best there’s ever been in the wrestling business. He wasted no time in naming Demolition.

“Well, for sure, Demolition comes to mind right away,” Anderson said. “They held the tag titles for 400 and something days, just ridiculous. They were the WWF’s Road Warriors, those guys kicked ass, and we were fortunate, guess who took the titles off of them at the end of that 400 something days? Brain Busters.”

Demolition, made up most famously of Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow), dominated the WWF tag team division during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original version of Smash, played by Randy Colley, appeared in just three matches before being replaced by Darsow after fans recognised him as former Moondog Rex.

Ax and Smash captured the WWF Tag Team Championships three times, establishing themselves as one of the most successful teams of their era. In the early 1990s, they were briefly joined by Crush, expanding the group into a trio.

Despite their accomplishments, Demolition has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, a fact that many fans and wrestling legends, including Anderson, feel should be rectified.

What Did Arn Anderson Think Of WCW’s Unique World War 3 Match?

Arn Anderson shared his thoughts on WCW’s World War 3 match type that saw the use of three rings at the same time, hosting 20 wrestlers each in a battle royal type match until there were only 30 competitors left in total, when they would all move into a single ring to finish the match. Anderson believes that while the match was unique, it was hard for the fans to understand exactly what was going on due to the sheer volume of wrestlers in each ring.
