WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has spoken about when he plans to step away from the wrestling business, revealing that he has no set timeline for his departure.
Speaking on the Developmentally Speaking podcast, Bischoff was asked about his future in wrestling and stated that he would continue as long as he still enjoyed it.
“Well, you asked me how long I’m going to keep doing this… until it’s not fun, once I get to the point where I don’t enjoy it, then I’ll definitely stop. I like doing a podcast like this because I like doing a podcast with somebody who’s starting out, or eager about the business, or already doing it but wants to take that next step. If there’s anything I can do to help with that, I love doing it.”
Bischoff has been involved in professional wrestling since 1986, beginning his career with Verne Gagne’s AWA in the sales department before transitioning to an on-air role. He later joined WCW, where he rose through the corporate ranks and became company President in 1997.
Following WCW’s closure in 2001, Bischoff continued to make an impact in the industry, working for multiple promotions, including WWE, TNA, and AEW, while also making appearances for independent companies.
Despite his decades in the business, Bischoff made it clear that he has no immediate plans to retire, as long as he continues to enjoy his involvement.
